High School Preparatory Program in Talmudic Studies

PROGRAM OUTLINE:

An advanced class for 7 th and 8 th grade young men, who have shown the ability and desire to excel beyond the regular curriculum in Talmudic studies. The Shiur meets daily, with the esteemed HaRav Mordechai Hecht, Sh'lita, as the Maggid Shiur

OBJECTIVES:

1) develops the young mens' Gemara skills with an expert and experienced Mechanaich.

2) motivates the young men by working with them in a small focused group with an abundance of individual attention.

3) inspires the young men by associating so closely with a Rosh Yeshiva figure.

4) provides the young men with general Talmudic knowledge that prepares them to be accepted to and excel in high quality Yeshiva High Schools

5) challenges the young men with frequent testing and encourages them to think through a sugya
